About
Hi, welcome to New Haven Therapy. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist and a third-generation counselor.
I obtained my doctorate in Psychology at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles and have worked at the Los Angeles LGBT Center, the Veterans Administration, and am a Staff Psychologist at Yale University. I am trained in psychodynamic, multicultural, and cognitive and 3rd wave behavioral therapy modalities. I have a particular interest in the integration of psychedelic experiences. This means your treatment with me is carefully designed for you. Your individualized therapy plan will utilize the most up-to-date research along with your values, worldview, style, and preferences to meet your goals for therapy with lasting benefits. My areas of clinical expertise are multicultural psychology, trauma, and identity issues and my research interests include the integration of culture into psychological services, ethics, and social justice psychology. Specialty areas include the psychological impact of climate change and the planetary health crisis and exploring the existential issues that arise in the context of our current world condition - the convergence of covid-19, the reckoning of racial injustices, and climate change.. Therapy, to me, is a combination of bearing witness, holding hope, developing skills, and deepening curiosity and compassion for one’s own internal life. Thanks for coming by, I hope to see you soon.
